Its Time and I'm not Feeling Great

Today is the day the dreams of the CBJ fans get revved up. I'm not so sure. The Blue Jackets said there would be numerous press conferences for their big doings and so far they have made one deal which I felt they overpaid and several potential UFA targets have slipped thru their fingers. They could have gone after Ryan Malone, but we were beaten to the punch by Tampa Bay. JM Liles signed with Colorado along with Stinky Foote. Whoopee we get a 4th round pick since Foote resigned (for 3 mil as opposed to the 4 million he said he had to have). Pitkanen will not be coming here as we have no assets that Edmonton wants. Frankly I am not expecting any big time UFA's to come here. Its pretty sad. We finally have the money to spend and there are not any super stars available so we will (once again) over pay for mediocre talent and still be short of the playoffs. This win now approach will be a failure and before long this team will be a complete afterthought and will be in Kansas City or Hamilton Ontario. Sure Brendan Morrison might sign and it will be an improvement, but look what LA, Phoenix, Tampa, and Edmonton have done. They have gone out and made the deals to improve while we sit back and look in the mirror.

Mirror mirror on the wall please bring Brian Campbell to the fold. And while you're at it have some of his friends come too.

Summer

So we got a new Heat Pump installed on Monday and since everything was 17 years old we just had them install a new Furnace and Humidifier as well. All I can say now is it is COOL in the house. Luckily for us the 3 weeks without cooling found the second 2 weeks to be unseasonably cool. This was great as it kept the price of the new equipment down as all the companies were not making service calls. Bonus! I ended up buying Trane equipment and couldn't be happier. 16 SEER heat pump and over 90% efficient furnace. Of course my new car is now cooling the house.... Maybe in a couple months I'll get that Mercedes Benz.

The kids have been busy and I am calling this the summer of camps. OSU hockey Camp, Turcotte Stick Handling Camp, Laura Stamm Powerskating Camp, and Chiller Hockey Academy for Frudoch. Poppy has been to Sandlot camp and has Zoo camp and Tennis camp coming up. Fru will be doing the tennis as well. Of course I've been driving them to all these camps and I wish I had a car to drive... Oh well you get the picture I want a new car to save a few bucks on gas. We still have the FFO to Kiawah coming up in August. FFO? Forced Family Outing..... Yeah oh what fun

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. Besides the pride in my country I just always loved it. I have always been a Fireworks fiend. The neighbors all come out for my shows. It will be a little less this year, but still I will have a huge mess to clean up. Parades and Fireworks are awesome.

No really I am alive......

Ok I admit it. I have not posted every day like I promised. Its just been one of those years. To catch up on some stuff I'm still in great pain from my shoulder. I didn't like what the shoulder expert said so I've done nothing except pop pills.

Roger Clemens is still a liar. Well thats news...

I got out to Indianapolis to race and did pretty well considering the pain. I used a HANS Device which is to keep from breaking your neck in a crash and it kept the pressure on my shoulder equal and distributed the pressure so I could race pain free. The results speak for themselves. A second place with fastest race lap and a 5th due to losing a contact lens with about 5 laps to go. It made racing a little tough and alot dangerous as I had no depth perception. In any case it was a great weekend and its nice to podium again.

I have one question. When is the country going to wake up and realize B. Hussain Obama is not who he appears to be? The liberal media has fawned over him to new left levels. Hillary had reason to gripe. But hey thats racism.

Is it getting warm in here? Oh yes it is and thats because our heat pump died. Of course the timing is perfect as I was about to buy a new car. And not just any car. A Mercedes. Dammit.
